Muttahida Qaumi Movement Punjab has rejected delimitation of constituencies in Karachi without national census and said MQM would resist this exercise. In a statement here on Thursday, MQM Lahore Zone Incharge Malik Waseem Khokhar said that delimitation of constituencies was done after carrying out the census throughout the world and this should also be done likewise in Pakistan.

He opined that any delimitation without fresh census was a tyranny and conspiracy against the residents of Karachi. "The Haq Parast Awam living in Punjab including Lahore would not allow the conspiracies against MQM to succeed," he added. Meanwhile, MQM Lahore Zone is holding a meeting here at its headquarter Punjab House today in which party office bearers of Sheikhupura, Okara, Qasur, Nankana are also participating. A MQM spokesman said the meeting would deliberate upon matters relating to forthcoming elections and organisational activities of its workers at Tehsil and Towns levels.
